  14. Introduction
  15. ------------
  16. With the latest Hercules-Stingray Drivers 1.17, the Rush-Timing
  17. information in the registry is reset to default values every
  18. time you reboot. The promotn.ini does also not work any more.
  19. So I decided to code this little tool, "Tweek Rush". It will
  20. hopefully run on other cards than the Stingray, too; please email
  21. me if it does or does not run on your Voodoo Rush Board.

  23. After you started the program the first time, an information
  24. requester will appear. Please read it carefully, although the
  25. information in that requester is also stated here.
  26.  
  27. You'll then see the Main Window. You can simply edit the three
  28. parameters: DualCycleThreshold, MCLKFrequency and VG96_MCLK-
  29. Frequency. Adjust the values to fit your needs, but keep in mind
  30. that careless changing of the values might not even cause your
  31. Rush to hang, you could cause unrecoverable damage to your Rush!

  33. If you do not know exactly what to do with this program, please
  34. don't start it or get the appropriate information about tweeking
  35. Voodoo-Cards from Operation: 3DFX (http://o3dfx.allgames.com) or
  36. a similar website like Voodoo Extreme, The Rush etc.

  38. It is possible to evaluate a setting, quit the application, revise
  39. the setting and try again. The changes will take immediate effect
  40. on the next 3DFX-Application. Be sure to hit "OK" or "Apply" to
  41. save the changes.

  43. Automatic Tweeking
  44. ------------------
  45. You can let Tweek Rush tweek your Rush automatically every time
  46. you start Windows, so that your tweeking values will always be
  47. the ones you last saved. Do this by checking the corresponding
  48. item in the configuration. Be sure to enter the path where the
  49. TweekRush EXE-File is located.
